The Youth Service Challenge is on!

Every day, we have more schools, more youth organizations, more celebrities and more Mayors (of cities large and small, all across America) saying "YES" to the Youth Service Challenge.

Yesterday, on our Jefferson Awards blog and on our Facebook fan page, we published our Youth Service Challenge Checklist.

If you're already part of the Jefferson Awards Students In Action program, and you're working on service projects (either through your school, your church, a youth organization or on your own), you're already doing everything that qualifies you for further recognition as part of the Youth Service Challenge, and gives you the opportunity to win cash prizes and/or celebrity visits to your school / service project.

BUT (there is always a but, isn't there?), if you don't register on the Youth Service Challenge website, and then tell us about your project, we don't know about the great things you're doing.

So... please take 10-15 minutes to register and tell us about your project.

Also, visit the Youth Service Challenge fan page on Facebook, and like us. That way, you'll be able to easily keep up with some of the other great things that other schools and youth groups are doing.
