Houston isn't one of our Leadership Communities yet, but in 2011 they will be! Yes, say hello to the next city that will be welcoming the Students In Action program next summer.  

In the meantime, Mayor Annise Parker and her staff have committed to getting 100,000 young Houstonians involved in the Youth Service Challenge.

The pictures are from the recent inauguration of the 2010-11 Mayor's Youth Council. Members are called upon to help make decisions affecting Houston's youth, as well as participate in numerous community outreach activities throughout the year, including making the Youth Service Challenge a big success in Houston!
